Hi Rob,

Thanks for the reference to my Mappit! addin

No logon is required for the Experts-Exchange articles, they sit outside the pay wall, so Mappit! is freely accessible

Giday Dave,

Welcome to The CodeCage

I'm pleased you took the time to become a member & I look forward to seeing a lot more of you on this site!

That's great news that anyone can access the Mappit! addin & adding a link is the least I could do. I'm all for sharing knowledge, & it's even better when helpful tools are already built

I thought that I would try it on a file I've been looking at recently & spotted a couple of things which I'll comment on in the article.

once again, welcome to TheCodeCage
Rob

Rob,

Current version of Mappit V1.10 attached - I thought it best to leave the EE thread uncluterred for now till this is ready for posting

Perhaps this is best moved to a new thread ..... I will flag it to Simon

Updates
  1. Inconsistent cell list is now the inconsistent cells only not all the individual uniques (the summary report shows total uniques)
  2. Added version control to addin description
  3. Implemented you idea to set the map cell equivalent to the actual file address when using the "return" button
  4. Fixed those fat fingered typos on the "Look for any constants in formulae"
Cheers

Dave

Thanks Dave,

I'm not sure how I missed your reply for so long, but anyway, I've pm'd Simon to see if he can give me lessons on how to relocate our hijacking

I haven't looked at the new version yet but will try to check it out later in the week.

Rob

hi Dave,

I suggest you post v1.10 as a Top Tip (via http://www.thecodecage.com/forumz/mi...?do=form&fid=3). This may help you get more development suggestions from others. Perhaps even suggestions that are more useful than my comments about the effects of fat fingers

Or, you could create an entry for it in Code Cage Downloads - The Code Cage Forums.

Thanks
Rob
