Default Save ppt 2007 to PDF - can you keep the "go to the last shown imag

Hi,

I have made a huge powerpoint presentation (ppt 2007) with many hyperlinks.
I have made a button making it possible to "go back to the last shown image".
When I export this to PDF file all hyperlinks work excellent - but the button
"go back to the last shown image" do not work.

Do any one know if there is a solution to this?

K

Hi Peter,

Maybe you could try to convert your PowerPoint to Flash movie to
retain all the hyperlinks and animations with smaller file size. You
could try some free converters such as authorpoint (http://
www.authorgen.com) or some commercial converters such as ppt2flash
(http://snipurl.com/ppt2flash), Articulate presenter (http://
www.articulate.com/products/presenter.php).

Regards.

You don't mention how you go about exporting to PDF.

Are you using Adobe Acrobat's PDFMaker addin (ie, a button on a toolbar added by
Adobe Acrobat) or the free PDF add-in from MS? Or something else entirely?

Default ppt 2007 ---> PDF ---> can I go back to the last shown slide"??

Hi Steve,

Thanks for your reply. I am using the Microsoft Office own free add-in which
converts the power-point 2007 to a PDF file. Is there any other application
that I can use and the save the "go back to the last shown slide"??

K

Thanks ... just did a few quick tests to confirm that "Previously Viewed" links
indeed don't convert.

If you have Acrobat or any of several other programs that install printer drivers
that print to PDF, our Prep4PDF add-in for PowerPoint will convert these links (in a
way that's more rational than PPT's own behaviour ... this ends up more like a
browser's back button).

There's a free, fully functional demo at http://www.pptools.com/prep4pdf/

These pages explain which PDF making software is compatible; there's at least one
free one listed:

Supported Printer Drivers
